A window is a hole in a wall that has been filled with glass so that the outside can be seen but not let in, apart from the weather, which finds a way. It is like a door that you are not supposed to use.[1]

Function

Windows let light in and let people look out. They also let people look in, which is why curtains were invented about eleven minutes after the window.

Cleaning

A clean window is easier to see through than a dirty one. A perfectly clean window is invisible, and is responsible for 30% of all collisions involving birds and 12% involving uncles.[2]
