Thursday

Thursday is the day of the week that is almost Friday. It has been almost Friday every week since records began, and shows no sign of making it.^[1]

Thursday comes after Wednesday, which it regards as a necessary warm-up, and two days after Tuesday, which it does not regard at all.

Status

Some historians argue that Thursday is merely Wednesday’s sequel; others consider it a reboot. A third school holds that Thursday is a spin-off of Friday that was cancelled after one episode but keeps being shown.^[2]

Duration

A Thursday lasts one day, or about 1,440 minutes, though the last 300 of these are widely reported to take longer than the rest.
